Janice Topp, who joined Callisto in 2006 brings CFO guidance and active financial management and oversight to portfolio companies as required, relying on her considerable experience as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of two multibillion dollar companies since 1996. Janice acted as Chief Financial Officer and served in various senior capacities at First Asset Management Inc., a wealth management company, for seven years during which it completed 10 acquisitions. First Asset’s assets under management grew to in excess of $30 billion at the time of its sale to Affiliated Managers Group, Inc. in July, 2005. Prior to joining First Asset, Janice was Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Gentra Inc. (working with Jim Walker), a leading Canadian property investment and real estate merchant banking operation that was traded on the TSX and had a market capitalization in excess of $1 billion. Janice completed her Chartered Accountants designation in 1987 (Ontario bronze medalist) with Ernst & Young. She is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario where she received her BA.
