Joe Shlesinger is involved in all aspects of Callisto’s business. In particular, Joe takes a leading role in facilitating the growth of Callisto’s portfolio companies which he is currently doing with several of Callisto’s investee companies which are leaders in their business segment in Canada. Prior to joining Callisto, Joe had been one of Canada’s senior strategy consultants with Bain & Company Canada, which he co-founded (with Lawrence Stevenson) in 1989 and led from 1993 to 2003. He was with Bain London from 1986 to 1989. Joe was also a member of the board of directors of Bain & Company, which is headquartered in Boston. In his 17 years at Bain, Joe’s work covered all aspects of general management, from cost reduction and performance improvement, to marketing strategy, customer loyalty enhancement and mergers and acquisitions. He was the senior Bain executive in Canada from 1993 to 2003, during which he presided over one of the most profitable and highest growth offices in the Bain worldwide network. Joe attended Ryerson Polytechnic University and received his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 in 1998.
